A crucial stage of the product development process is the transition from design into mass production. We have a proven track record of sourcing and managing toolmakers and suppliers from within our ISO 9001 & 13485 approved supply chain, to ensure quality product delivered on time and within budget.
It is vital to the product’s success that the design team works with the suppliers during the entire production development process so that the original design intent is carried fully into production.
Vendor Selection Analysis
Whatever the manufacturing process or the volumes required, Shore has experience in evaluating and selecting the correct partner for our clients. Our worldwide network ensures we can identify the correct partner whether they are in the UK, Europe or Asia. Our designs can be manufactured by any vendor allowing maximum flexibility at the right quality, timescales & cost
Vendor Management
With the chosen vendor, we are able to mange all aspects of the relationship. This includes ensuring the most competitive cost, rapid response to technical issues and everything is delivered on schedule. We use a combination of collaborative communication tools constantly during this process to ensure there is optimal transfer of knowledge between all parties
Tool Trial Visits
Shore engineers always attend tool trials to ensure maximum quality parts and products. We carry out detailed inspection of T1 samples and are on-hand to advise toolmakers of any changes required. Our experience and multi-vendor relationships ensures that the tool trials are completed efficiently without compromising quality or development schedule.
Factory Build Start-up
Shore engineers are always on site when factory build commences to liaise with the production managers and assembly staff to ensure that the first batches of product build go smoothly. This activity could take the form of training staff on the assembly process, checking quality of parts from suppliers or inspecting final products to ensure there are no issues.
Manufacturing Support
Once full production is underway, we are still on hand to ensure that any issues are resolved to ensure ongoing product quality.
Validation Support
Validation is a key step in order to ensure that a device and its associated manufacturing, assembly and test equipment are reliable and fit for purpose. Design and validation are inextricably linked and we can provide support during the manufacturing cycle to ensure successful validation of your product.
