Otus ▪ 360° Camera
Requirement
OTUS Technologies based in Edinburgh, Scotland wanted to develop a product for creation of virtual tours, video conferencing and the security markets. The device would have the highest specification available on the market but also have an added wow factor. OTUS required a partner who had experience in user interfacing, an understanding of brand creation in 3D form, optical & electronic harmonisation experience and mechanical engineering capability.
Development
The initial task for Shore Design was to produce the optimum product architecture taking into account the optics, electronics, acoustics, user interfacing and mechanical elements of the product. In parallel a number of concepts were generated in sketch form.

Following review and selection of concepts and further aesthetic refinement, the design progressed into 3D CAD for both photo realistic renderings for marketing, plus full mechanical development and electronic integration. Shore procured all mechanical verification prototypes and assisted in the set up and management of the mass production manufacturing supply chain.
Result
